It is important to record the labor for an RO on the day that the labor is done.
To record labor on an RO,
1. From the Repair Order page, click the Record Labor command.
You
can also record labor from the Shop Activity
page.
The Record Labor page opens.
The vehicle information is displayed at the top of the window.
2. Verify that the date displayed is the date on which you want to record this labor.
The default is today’s date. You can change the date to previous dates, but you cannot change it to a future date.
3. Change the date as needed.
4. In the Jobs area on the left of the page, click the specific job to which you want to record labor.
5. In the Technician list, select the technician you want to record labor for.
6. Click the number of hours and tenths of hours option buttons (or type the hours in the Hours Entry field) and click the Save button.
You can add time for other technicians using the following steps.
1. In the Jobs area on the left of the page, click the specific job to which you want to record labor.
2. In the Technician list, select the technician you want to record labor for.
3. Click the number of hours and tenths of hours option button s (or type the hours in the Hours Entry field) and click the Save button.
