Delete a Job

Sometimes a job is assigned to an RO and you later determine that the job is not necessary. The job can be deleted. There are two ways to delete a job; one removes it but retains the data so it can be restored, and the other removes it completely so it cannot be restored.

To delete a job from an RO but keep it available to be restored,

1.  From the Repair Order page, click the job you want to delete.

2.  Click the Delete Job command.

The Job Status reads Cancelled and turns red.

To restore a deleted job,

1.  Click the deleted job command.

2.  Click the Restore Deleted command.

The Job Status reads Active and turns blue.

This method does not remove the job from the Repair Order page.

To completely delete a job from an RO, use the following steps.

If you use this method, the job cannot be restored later. This method removes the job completely.

1.  In the Repair Order page, click the job button you want to drop.

2.  Click the Drop Job command.

The Drop Reason page opens with options:

3.  Click a reason.

If you select the Miscellaneous option, you must type a further explanation in the lower field.

4.  Click the Save button.

You return to the Repair Order page and the Unscheduled command turns yellow.

5.  Click the Unscheduled command.

The Unscheduled Job page opens.

6.  Click the job to be deleted.

7.  Click the Delete button.

The job is removed from the page.

8.  Click the Close button.

You return to the Repair Order page and the job is removed.
